With more than one million residents, Malaga is the second largest province in Andalusia. Perhaps the province's largest draw, besides the capital city of Malaga, is Costa del Sol. Because Malaga is situated along the Mediterranean coastline, there are beautiful beaches for sunbathing, enjoying water sports, and beach combing. Many tourists find it is difficult to select between areas in the province because each area offers a variety of experiences.

Great Holiday Destination

Pablo Picasso has strong ties to Malaga City because he was born here, therefore the city has a large museum dedicated to the abstract painter. Other area attractions include La Manquita, a Baroque cathedral. The Parador, a former castle, is now a hotel that sits high up the hill above the city. Along Costa del Sol are a number of beautiful waterfront towns. Fuengirola, Torremolinos,Estepona and Marbella are some of the most popular towns thanks to the pristine beaches, excellent nightlife, a large number of hotels, incredible restaurants and tapas bars.
