Location:: Granada Airport is located about 16 Kilometres west of Granada. It is situated in an area known as “Vega del Genil" near a small town called Santa Fé. Access is by the main A92 motorway that runs from Sevilla to Granada and is well signposted from the Autovia. Apart from the City of Granada and the Alhambra Palace, Granada airport is the closest to resorts and towns such as the eastern edge of the Costa del Sol, Motril, Nerja, Almunecar, Salobrena, La Herradura and Malaga. The airport also gives very easy access to Europe’s southern most ski resort in the Sierra Nevada.

Flights:: National flights run to and from Madrid, Barcelona, Melilla and Palma de Mallorca. International flights run to and from London Gatwick, London Stansted and Liverpool. Currently the international flights are through Monarch for London Gatwick and Ryanair for Stansted and Liverpool.

The Terminal Building:: Granada Airport is on one level. The Arrivals area is located to the right and the Departures area is located to the left. Check in desks are located in the middle. The shop and café/restaurant are also located in the public area of the departures hall next to passport control. Once you have made your way through passport control there are no shops or cafes.

Car Parking:: Car Parking at Granada Airport is located directly in front of the airport terminal building. You have to pay to park. 24 hour and monthly passes are also available.

Transport:: There is not a train service from Granada Airport. There are regular, direct Granada Airport buses into the City. Taxis are also available at the airport. The taxi rank is through the Arrivals Hall exit and is situated next to the terminal building.

Car Hire:: There are a few car hire companies (Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Crown) located in the Airport Arrivals Hall.
